42nd DISCOM Marches Through Memorial  Day
SOMERSET, NJ - While people were enjoying the holiday weekend, watching parades, taking some time off from work and celebrating the unofficial start of summer, members of the 42nd Infantry Division Support Command (DISCOM), New Jersey Army National Guard, headquartered in Somerset, were busy participating in parades across the state.

 All DISCOM elements were out working in more than 25 parades throughout the state. Troops paraded in Collingswood (Camden county), 10 parades in Bergen county, three parades at the Jersey shore area and in New Providence, Scotch Plains, New Egypt, Clark, Somerset and Piscataway.

 The DISCOM has had ongoing missions since Sept. 11 providing Homeland Security and Homeland Defense throughout the state guarding bridges, and airports.
