177th Fighter Wing Dedicates
“Spirit of Little Egg Harbor Twp” F-16
What: “Spirit of Little Egg Harbor Twp” F-16 Dedication Who: The 177th Fighter Wing Where: 177th Fighter Wing, 400 Langley Road, Egg
Harbor Township, NJ, 08234
Media wishing to attend should contact the Public Affairs office at (609) 645-6005 by 3 PM, November 12, 2002. Details: The 177th Fighter Wing, New Jersey Air National Guard, based at Atlantic City International Airport, will dedicate one of its F-16 jet fighter aircraft to the citizens of Little Egg Harbor Twp in a ceremony at the base. The aircraft dedication program symbolizes the strong ties that exist between the wing and its communities and the outstanding support those communities have shown the unit. Many members of the 177th live in these communities and, as citizen airmen, “We wish to use this opportunity to reassert the important connection between the communities from which we come and the missions we fulfill around the world,” stated Col. Michael Cosby, Commander, 177th Fighter Wing. “What better way to show our appreciation than dedicating one of our aircraft which has been a time-honored tradition since the earliest days of aviation.” Directions: Atlantic City expressway East to Exit 12. Left on Wrangleboro Road/County Route 575. Right at the next traffic light (approximately 1.5 miles). Continue for 1.5 miles until you see a sign with an F-16 on it for the 177th Fighter Wing. Turn left into the main gate. Security will direct you once you have entered the installation.
