On Tuesday, May 10, the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home at Menlo Park located at 132 Evergreen Road in Edison, N.J. will host a Health Fair from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

      The event will feature a variety of programs and services to include: Bay Shore Fitness & Wellness Center (Giveaways, Health & Fitness Information, Membership Information for staff and visitors.); The Spa at Bay Shore (Free Chair Massages, Giveaways, Possible Skin Screenings); Breast Cancer Resource Center (Handouts, and Giveaways); St. Peters Medical Center Mobile Health Unit (Free Osteoporosis Screenings); Visiting Nurse Association of Central NJ (Handouts, Giveaways, Blood Pressure Screening); Common Interests Inc. (Financial Planning for seniors); American Heart Association (Informational Brochures, Materials); The American Cancer Society (Colon Cancer Awareness Lapel Pins, Smoking cessation information, Cancer Facts for Men & Women); NJ Blood Services Mobile Blood Donation Unit; Dietary Awareness Table; Volunteer Recruitment Table; Admissions Information; Mary Kay Cosmetics (products, giveaways), Creative Memories (Scrap booking supplies, instructional materials, demonstrations); Haven Hospice (Hospice Information, giveaways); Advance Care Medical (Medical/Surgical supply information); Ortho Biotech   (Materials on Diabetes, Heart Disease, Anemia, and Kidney Disease); Ross-Abbott (Makers of Ensure- products, samples); Novartis (Makers of Benefiber-products, samples) and a craft sale of items created by the facility's staff and residents.

      The Menlo Park Home provides state-of-the-art, long term, residential care to New Jersey Veterans or their eligible family members.
