Media Advisory: Jersey City to Host Welcome Home and Freedom Salute Ceremonies Who/What: The Leadership of the New Jersey Army National Guard will honor the Soldiers of E Company, 50th Main Support Battalion who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, their families and those who supported them at a Welcome Home and Freedom Salute Ceremony at the National Guard Armory in Jersey City. When: Saturday, May 6 at 12 p.m. Where: The National Guard Armory in Jersey City, 678 Montgomery Street, Jersey City, N.J., 07306 The public is invited to attend. More Details: In addition to the troops' family members and friends, the event may include participation by Maj. Gen. Glenn K. Rieth – The Adjutant General of New Jersey, local elected officials, community representatives, senior members of the New Jersey Army and Air National Guard, veterans organizations and Family Program and Family Support personnel from around the state. The Freedom Salute Campaign is one of the largest Army National Guard recognition endeavors in history, designed to publicly acknowledge Army National Guard soldiers and those who supported them during the President's call to duty for recent military operations.
