Media Advisory: Memorial Walk Dedication Who/What: Dedication of a Memorial Walk at the Joint Training and Training Development Center. When: Saturday, May 6 at 1:30 p.m. Where: Joint Training and Training Development Center, Building 3601, Technology Drive, Fort Dix, N.J., 08640 Background: In October 2005, Soldiers from the Joint Training and Training Development Center, New Jersey Army National Guard, deployed to New Orleans in support of Hurricane Katrina Relief efforts. During the deployment, the Guardsmen met and befriended numerous people. When the Soldiers returned to New Jersey, they decided that wanted to do something in support of the people they met. So as part of the “Neighbors helping neighbors” philosophy, the Soldiers sold pavers surrounding the Reflection Pond to raise money to support displaced New Orleans citizens.
