Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran Reenlists In New Jersey Army National Guard
Lyndhurst resident Spc. Shelton C. Damon was reenlisted by Col. Maria Falca-Dodson, the Deputy Adjutant General, during a ceremony at the National Guard Armory in Teaneck. Spc. Damon reenlisted while on leave from Iraq.
The seven-year veteran
of the New Jersey Army National Guard is currently serving with 253rd
Transportation Company in Iraq as a truck driver. He is part of
the group from the 50th Main Support Battalion, located at National Guard
Armory in Teaneck, who voluntarily deployed with the 253rd. The
253rd is headquartered at the National Guard Armory at Cape May Courthouse.
Spc. Damon is a traditional Guardsman who is a senior officer with the
New Jersey Department of Corrections. |
