Operation Return To Work
On Friday morning, March 11, the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (NJDMVA) will join together with the New Jersey Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (NJESGR), the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA), and the New Jersey State League of Municipalities (NJLOM) to present “Operation Return to Work” a special seminar/workshop designed to provide useful and practical information to the civilian employers of some of the more than 6,000 National Guardmembers and reservists returning to work after an absence of up to 24 months of federal active duty military service. The event will begin at 8 a.m. and take place at the Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township (exit 8A - NJ Turnpike). After opening remarks by Brig. Gen. Maria Falca-Dodson - Deputy Adjutant General of New Jersey; Philip Kirschner, President, NJBIA; Bill Dressel, Executive Director, NJLOM, and Brig. Gen. (ret) Robert S. Dutko, Sr., Chairman, NJESGR, subject matter experts to include Col. (ret) Carmen A. Venticinque, Executive Director, NJESGR and William Devereaux, Director, Veterans Programs (NJDMVA) will address issues confronting employers, returning troops, their families, and their co-workers. Human Resources personnel will present information on how to prepare the workplace to help ease the transition from the battlefield back into the office, store, or factory.
