What: 108th ARW will be celebrating the arrival of its new aircraft, the KC-135R, with a ceremony commemorating the event

When: Monday, Oct. 15, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Where: McGuire Air Force Base, N.J., 108th Air Refueling Wing

The 108th ARW is transitioning to the KC-135R from the KC-135E.  The 108th is one of the first guard units to receive the new R-models.  Some upgraded capabilities include; increase fuel capacity, increase offload capability, decrease noise and decrease operating costs.

U.S. Congressman Jim Saxton, General Arthur Lichte, Commander, Air Mobility Command, and Major General Rieth will be the guest speakers at the ceremony.
