On Saturday, May 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the 50th Main Support Battalion is sponsoring a Family Day at the Teaneck Armory, Teaneck and Liberty Roads, Teaneck, for soldiers and their family members.

    Many of these soldiers will be deploying over the next several months to Southwest Asia.

    Representatives from various businesses and activities will be present for soldiers and their families to prepare for the upcoming deployments.   Some of the representatives will be from The Salvation Army, The American Red Cross, PNC Bank (Freedom Loan information), American Legion, VFW, Girl and Boy Scouts and more.  Mayors, police chiefs and other local officials have been invited to attend.

    Representatives of any interested media outlets MUST register with Staff Sgt. Barbara Harbison, Public Affairs Office, NJDMAVA, prior to 3 p.m. on Friday, May 14.

    Individual soldiers from this unit and some family members will be available on a voluntary basis for photo's, on-air interviews, or to respond to any questions from print media.
