South Jersey Air National Guard Team Returns From Iraq
Who: 177th Fighter Wing Security Forces
What: Return home after a six month deployment to Iraq
When: 7 p.m. (approx., see note at bottom), Tuesday, March 13
Where: Atlantic City Air National Guard Base, Egg Harbor TWP, N.J.
Media MUST contact Lt. Col. Garcia at (609) 847-6093 no later than 12 p.m., Tuesday, March 13 in order to gain entry onto Atlantic City Air National Guard Base.
Details – On Tuesday March 13 at approximately 7 p.m., members of the New Jersey Air National Guard will arrive at their home unit after successfully completing a six-month deployment to Iraq. The 13-person detachment – all volunteers – from the 177th Fighter Wing Security Forces Squadron was assigned to a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) in Northern Iraq. Their deployment was part of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) in support of the ongoing global war against terrorism. Family, friends, unit members and leadership will be on hand to welcome our Airmen.
