Hackettstown Resident Joins New Jersey Army National Guard

William Heineman (right), Executive Officer, Recruiting and Retention, after Bergamino had enlisted in the New Jersey Army National Guard at Fort Dix on May 7. Pfc. Bergamino, who is currently a student at New Jersey City University, has been assigned to Company B, 2 nd Battalion 102 nd Armor located at the National Guard Armory in Hackettstown. He will attend Basic Training at Fort Knox, Ky., and after completing Basic, he will begin his advanced individual training as an M-1 Abrams Battle Tank Armor Crewman. The armor crewman serves as a member of M-1/M-1A1 armor unit in offensive and defensive combat operations. Individuals
