177th and Local
Law Enforcement Forge
Stronger Homeland Security Ties
"The
177th deems the present agreement to be an important step forward in furthering
the cooperation between the wing and local law enforcement agencies,"
stated Col. Michael G. Cosby.
The Egg Harbor Township Police Department will be the point of contact
for the New Jersey Air National Guard for situations that may arise requiring
additional armed support, police, fire and emergency medical services
response. Both parites have agreed to mutually practice crisis and consequence
management.
"This is just one example of the continuous service and involvement
we have had with the 177th Fighter Wing," said Chief John J. Coyle.
We look forward in maintaining the same rapport in future endeavors."
