Details: On Thursday, April 21st at 3:00 pm., more than 300 recently returned members of 2nd Battalion 113th Infantry, New Jersey Army National Guard, will be honored by an official “Welcome Home” ceremony following the successful completion of their year-long deployment to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The deployment was part of Operation Enduring Freedom in support of the ongoing global war against terrorism. The 2-113th, comprised primarily of members stationed at the National Guard armories in Jersey City, Newark, Riverdale, and Woodbridge provided perimeter security at the Military Detention facility on the Caribbean island as part of Joint Task Force Guantanamo (JTF-GTMO).
The ceremony will take place on the drill floor of the Armory. Family members, friends, and the local community have been invited to attend. Parking is available at the St Peter's College parking lot.
