Guard Family Programs Gets Big Checks On Tuesday, July 20, at 4 p.m., the New Jersey National Guard Family Assistance Center (FAC) at the National Guard Armory on Eggert Crossing Road in Lawrenceville and the National Guard State Family Readiness Council (SFRC) will receive checks from representatives of the Lawrence Lions Club and American Legion Post 414.
These donations represent the more than $11,000 dollars in proceeds from the hugely successful Pancake breakfast the two organizations co-hosted at the Legion Post on Berwyn Place on June 6. The monies will be used to support various family support activities and benefit families of troops currently deployed for Homeland Defense and Homeland Security missions.
Roy
Hoch, President, Lawrence Lions Club and Charles Brothers, Commander,
American Legion Post 414, will make the presentation to Jane Hackbarth,
Family Assistance Coordinator (Lawrenceville FAC) and Linda Rieth, Co-Chair
of the State Family Readiness Council. Mercer County Freeholders
Chairwoman Elizabeth Maher Muoio and Pat Colavita also will present official
Resolutions at the event honoring the Lawrence Lions and American Legion
Post 414 for their patriotic support and continuing community service.
Freeholder Colavita was one the dedicated local volunteers who worked
the grills and helped make the breakfast a success. |
