WHO/WHAT: Volunteers at the Menlo Veterans Memorial Home will be honored by the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs for more than 10,000 hours donated of service by individuals, corporations, veteran's organizations and community groups.

DETAILS: The annual Volunteer Appreciation event celebrates the commitment of service to the 300 veterans that reside at the Menlo Park Veterans Memorial Home.  From March 31, 2006 to March 31, 2007 these volunteers accomplished the following: 126 individual volunteers volunteered 5,145 hours, veterans and community organizations donated 3,300 hours, and 133 youth volunteers spent 1,566 hours at the facility for a total of 10,011 hours.  This does not include the time organizations have spent holding off-station parties for the residents.
