U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Arrive At New Jersey Air National Guard Unit

DETAILS: The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds aerial demonstration team will be landing at the 177th Fighter Wing at the Atlantic City International Airport on August 18. For the next three days, the team will stage their aircraft out of this New Jersey Air National Guard Base as they support the 2008 Atlantic City Airshow, “Thunder over the Boardwalk.” The Thunderbirds are the premier Air Force demonstration squadron comprised of the most elite professionals teamed together to present precision aerial maneuvers that exhibit the capabilities of modern, high performance aircraft and the high degree of professional skill required to operate those aircraft. The aircraft they will be flying, the F-16 Fighting Falcon (a.k.a. the Viper), is the primary weapon delivery system of the 177th Fighter Wing of the New Jersey Air National Guard.
