Rutgers Student Receives Check For Serving As A Guard Recruiting Assistant

Photo caption: On March 10, at Joint Force Headquarters – New Jersey, located at Fort Dix, Rutgers University student and Army ROTC cadet Daniel Ardalan (center) received $2,000 for serving as a New Jersey Guard Recruiting Assistant.  Through Ardalan and New Jersey Army National Guard recruiter Sgt. Nick Heitzmann's (right) efforts, Emerson resident Anthony Sottile (left) became the first New Jersey Army National Guardsman recruited through the Guard Recruiting Assistance Program (G-RAP).  The G-RAP program, which is centered on the “Strength from within” tradition and has its origin in the New Jersey Army National Guard heritage, recognizes and rewards those individuals who help the New Jersey Army National Guard achieve its recruiting goals. Recruiter Assistants (RAs) can earn $2,000 for each new recruit who enlists and reports to Basic Training.   The RA can also earn $2,000 for each prior service applicant who enlists into the NJARNG.
