Company C, 3rd Battalion, 112th Field Artillery, New Jersey
Army National Guard, part of the original Homeland Defense of this nation,
will be holding an Open House May 24. The open house will highlight
the men and women along with the equipment that is fighting the Global
War on Terrorism while providing Homeland Defense and Homeland Security.
On display will be a UH-1 helicopter from the 150 th General Aviation
Support Battalion, which participated in the recovery operations following
the attack on the World Trade Center; in addition there will be an M-109A
Howitzer and other vehicles used by the New Jersey Army National Guard;
nuclear, biological and chemical warfare equipment, a live assault demonstration,
and a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps drill and ceremony demonstration.
In addition, there will be a presentation to the unit by the town
of Jackson.
