Menlo Park Veterans Home Resident Turns 100
WHO: Roderick Kennark, born in Brooklyn in 1908. He was both a surgical technician and Technician Fifth Grade in the Army during War War II. His decorations and citations include the European-American-Middle-Eastern Theater Ribbon and the Good Conduct Ribbon.
WHAT: Birthday celebration for a World War II Army veteran who turned 100 on June 24. Retired Army Col. Stephen Abel, the New Jersey Deputy Commissioner for Veterans Affairs, will be attending to present awards and a letter from Governor Jon Corzine.
WHEN: Wednesday, June 25 at 2 p.m.
