New Jersey Army National Guard Troops Return From Afghanistan
WHO/WHAT: Sixteen New Jersey Army National Guard Soldiers will take part in the Reconstitution process as they return from a one-year Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) deployment as part of the Embedded Training Team in Afghanistan.
The ETT mission performed by the New Jersey Citizen-Soldiers was designed to provide experienced U.S. Army mentors and advisors to the Afghan National Army (ANA) in an effort to build a professional army for the country of Afghanistan. These Citizen-Soldiers advised, mentored, and coached with their Afghan counterparts in tactical and technical subjects.
WHEN: Thursday, September 25 at 9:30 a.m.
WHERE: National Guard Joint Forces Headquarters, Fort Dix
