WHO: Col. (Ret.) Stephen Abel, Deputy Commissioner for Veterans Affairs, New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will present the New Jersey Korean Service Medal to a group of Korean War Veterans. Guest speaker will be William A. Rakestraw, American Legion National Executive Committeeman.

WHAT: 53rd Anniversary Commemoration of the signing of the Korean War Armistice and presentation of the New Jersey Korean Service Medal to local Korean combat veterans.

WHEN: July 27 at 11 a.m.

WHERE: New Jersey Korean War Memorial, at Park Place and Boardwalk, near Brighton Park, Atlantic City.

DETAILS: The New Jersey Korean War Veterans Association in cooperation with the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs hosts this annual event as 50 additional names have been engraved on the Memorial Wall.  Since last year's ceremony there have been additional New Jersey Service members identified who were killed in action during the Korean conflict.
