South Plainfield Resident Joins New Jersey Army National Guard
South Plainfield resident Manuel Bravo-Velasco enlisted in the New Jersey Army National Guard at Fort Hamilton Military Entrance Processing Station May 26.
Pfc. Bravo-Velasco, a junior at South Plainfield High School, has been assigned to Troop A, 5th and 117th Calvary located at the National Guard Armory in Dover. He will attend Basic Training at Fort Jackson, S.C., and after completing Basic, he will attend Advanced Individual Training next summer as a Quartermaster and Chemical Equipment Repairer.
