Elizabeth Resident Joins New Jersey Army National Guard
Elizabeth resident Andres D. Godoy enlisted in the New Jersey Army National Guard at Fort Hamilton Military Entrance Processing Station May 26.
Pvt. Godoy, a junior at Elizabeth High School, has been assigned to Troop A, 5th Squadron, 117th Calvary, located at the National Guard Armory in Dover. He will attend Basic Training at Fort Jackson, S.C., and after completing Basic, he will attend Advanced Individual Training next summer as a Quartermaster and Chemical Equipment Repairer.

joining the New Jersey Army National Guard and wants to attend college
tuition free, while earning a part-time income and serving their community,
