Army Guard To Open Storefront Recruiting Office In Bergen
On Thursday, March 2 at 10 a.m., the New Jersey Army National Guard will open a new “Storefront” Recruiting and Retention Office at 8901 Bergenline Ave., North Bergen, N.J., 07047.
According to Maj. Gen. Glenn K. Rieth, The Adjutant General of New Jersey, “This new, more convenient location will provide easier access to young men and women interested in pursuing a career in the Guard. It allows for personal interaction with our professional recruiting staff and allows our recruiters to fully explore the best career options for prospective citizen-soldiers.”
Maj. Gen. Rieth, who will cut the ceremonial ribbon marking the official opening of the facility, stated: “Our entire military currently is going through a major transformation into a more modern, streamlined, and adaptable force. In order to be effective, we need to attract and retain quality individuals interested in serving their state and nation and, at the same time, gaining important job skills or furthering their civilian education.”
