WHAT: Welcome Home Ceremony for troops returning from Iraq

WHEN: 11 a.m., Monday, March 31

WHERE: McGuire Air Force Base, N.J.

Details – On Monday, March 31 at 11 a.m., a Welcome Home Ceremony will be held for the 75 Security Forces Airmen of the New Jersey Air National Guard, recently returned from a six-month deployment to Iraq.  The Airmen – all volunteers – are from the 108th Air Refueling Wing Security Forces Squadron, based out of McGuire Air Force Base, N.J. Their deployment was part of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) in support of the ongoing global war against terrorism.  The 108th Security Forces have made history as the first National Guard unit in charge of security at Baghdad Airport…in command of National Guard, Active Duty, foreign and contractor security teams. Elected officials, military leadership, family, friends and unit members will be on hand to recognize the achievements of our troops.
