Newark Resident Joins New Jersey Army National Guard

Pvt. Carlo, a graduate of Continental Academy, has been assigned to B Troop, 5th Squadron and 117th Cavalry located at the National Guard Armory in West Orange. After completing Basic Training at Fort Knox, Ky., he will attend Advanced Individual Training as a Cavalry Scout. Cavalry Scouts are responsible for reconnaissance and act as the "first front" in combat.
