New Jersey National Guard And Marine Corps Reserve Team Up In The Air And On The Ground
WHO: Members of the New Jersey National Guard's 21st Civil Support Team (Weapons of Mass Destruction) will be supported by Marine Aircraft Group 49 headquartered at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, Willow Grove, Pa.
WHAT: In a unique inter-service training event the Marine Corps Reserve unit will fly the Army and Air Guard personnel and equipment aboard CH-53E Super Stallion heavy lift helicopters. The Marines will also provide security both on the ground and in the air around the mock "hot zone" while the National Guard Soldiers and Airmen search for a possible radiological device.
WHEN: Saturday, March 3 @ 10 a.m.
WHERE: 177th Fighter Wing, Warren Grove Range Weapons Range The range is located in Ocean County on the west side of County Route 539 (between mile markers 7-8) just north of the Garden State Park-way and south of Route 72, turn at the brown sign and follow road to Administration Building.
Events will take place out-of-doors…the range area is predominantly sand and scrub pines. Please dress accordingly with appropriate footwear.
