Details: On Thursday, March 31 at 1 p.m., more than 200 recently returned members of the 2nd Battalion, 102nd Armor, New Jersey Army National Guard, will be the focus of a “Welcome Home” ceremony following the successful completion of their nine-month long deployment to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The deployment was part of Operation Enduring Freedom in support of the ongoing global war against terrorism. The tank battalion was an integral element of Joint Task Force Guantanamo (JTF-GTMO).
The ceremony will take place at the West Orange Armory. Family members, friends, and the local community have been invited to attend.
