WHAT: More than 50 residents of New Jersey will receive the New Jersey Distinguished Service Medal and the N.J. Vietnam Service Medal in a ceremony for combat veterans of Korea and Vietnam.

WHEN: Monday, May 7, at 11 a.m.

WHERE: Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Holmdel, N.J.

Retired Col. Stephen G. Abel, Deputy Commissioner for Veterans Affairs, will present the New Jersey Distinguished Service Medal, the state's top military award, and the New Jersey Vietnam Service Medal to residents of the state.

This ceremony is part of the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial Remembrance Day.  The memorial is located on the ground of the PNC Arts Center, Garden State Parkway exit 116. There is more about the memorial and Remembrance Day at www.njvvmf.org.
