New Jersey Air Guard To Hold Change Of Command Ceremony

When: Sunday, May 7, starting at 2 p.m.
Where: 177th Fighter Wing, Main Hangar
Details: Congressman Frank A. LoBiondo, 2nd District N.J., will join National Guard personnel and honored guests as the 177th Fighter Wing hosts a change of command ceremony for the New Jersey Air National Guard. At the ceremony, Maj. Gen. Eugene R. Chojnacki will relinquish command of the New Jersey Air National Guard to Brig. Gen. Select Lawrence S. Thomas III. Maj. Gen. Chojnacki is a decorated veteran with more than 38 years of dedicated service to the nation and New Jersey. He resides in Ocean View, N.J., with his family. Brig. Gen. (S) Thomas has more than 29 years of dedicated service and prior to this assignment served the New Jersey Air National Guard as the Deputy Commander, Joint Force Headquarters located at Fort Dix N.J. Brig. Gen. (S) Thomas and his family live in Sweetwater , N.J.

Directions to the 177th Fighter Wing: Atlantic City expressway East to Exit 12. Turn left on Wrangleboro Road/County Route 575. Turn right at the next traffic light (approximately 1.5 miles). Continue for 1.5 miles until you see a sign with an F-16 on it for the 177th Fighter Wing. Turn left into the main gate. Security will direct you once you have entered the installation. |
