The New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans' Affairs, Office of the Adjutant General, Major General Glenn K. Rieth, has proposed a new rule to N.J.A.C. 5A:9.  The new rule governs New Jersey Veterans' and Disabled Veterans' Preference and Veterans' Status for Pension Purposes.

      The New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans' Affairs proposes this rule to N.J.A.C. 5A:9, pursuant to authority of N.J.S.A. 11A:5-1, 43:15A-6-1, and 18A:66-2.2, P.L. 2000 c #127 and P.L. 2000 c #146.

      The notice of proposal will be published in the New Jersey Register on June 5, 2006.  The public has 60 days in which to comment.  Persons wishing to make comments may do so in writing by August 4, 2006 to:
