The New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans' Affairs, Office of the Adjutant General, Major General Glenn K. Rieth, has proposed a new rule to the chapter governing New Jersey Veterans Transitional Housing Program (Veterans' Haven).

      The New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans' Affairs proposes this rule to N.J.A.C. 5A:8, pursuant to authority of N.J.S.A. 38A:3-2.2, 3-6(o) and (u), 3-6.4.  The proposed new rule represents a refinement of the expired rule adopted on January 31, 2000.  The proposal clarifies policies and procedures that have been in place at the facility and have met the test of time and practical application.

      The entire notice of proposal was published in the New Jersey Register on January 3, 2006.  The public had 60 days in which to comment.  Persons wishing to make comments may do so in writing by April 7, 2006 to:
