Veterans Day Observed At Doyle Veterans Cemetery
A Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. honoring New Jersey veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The ceremony, which is sponsored by the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery Advisory Council, will be held at the cemetery's chapel. Col. (Ret.) Stephen Abel, newly confirmed Deputy Commissioner for Veterans Affairs, New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, will be the keynote speaker. The Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery is the state's only state-operated veterans' cemetery; dedicated in 1986, it is funded jointly by state and federal dollars and is under the management of the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.
