Governor Whitman to Recognize USS New Jersey at Panama Canal 

-Media Opportunity Scheduled for October 17 & 18-

WHAT: The battleship USS New Jersey is scheduled to arrive at the Panama Canal on October 16 marking the midpoint of the ship’s voyage from Bremerton, Washington to New Jersey. Media events are scheduled for October 17 and 18 to recognize the historical significance of the USS New Jersey passing through the canal. WHO: Governor Christine Whitman United States Navy
