1-150th Assault Helicopter Battalion Departure Ceremony


A Departure Ceremony for the nearly 250 Soldiers of the 1-150th Assault Helicopter Battalion was held at the War Memorial in Trenton on Jan. 25. The Soldiers and their families were honored at the event, which was attended by Gov. Jon S. Corzine; Maj. Gen. Glenn K. Rieth, The Adjutant General of New Jersey; national, state and local officials, as well as New Jersey National Guard military leadership and civic and veterans groups. The Battalion is performing its pre-mobilization training at Fort Sill, Okla., and then will deploy to Iraq. The unit headquarters is in West Trenton and its Soldiers hail from all of New Jersey's 21 counties.
