B-Battery, 3-112th Returns Home

Photos and story by Tech. Sgt. Mark Olsen, NJDMAVA/PA

One year after their deployment to Iraq, B Batter, 3rd Battalion, 112th Field Artillery returned home to their National Guard Armory in Lawrenceville on February 11. The unit's mission was to perform convoy security operations.

The Battalion paraded down Eggert Crossing Road, with both sides of the street lined with families, friends, veterans, fellow Guardsmen, community members, and school children waving flags and holding homemade signs.

Fire and police departments from across the state, coordinated by Mayor Pam Mount, Lawrence Township, escorted the returning Troops.

Maj. Gen. Glenn K. Rieth, Acting Governor Richard J. Codey, Senators Jon S. Corzine and Frank S. Lautenberg and Congressmen Rodney P. Frelinghuysen and Rush Holt, participated in the ceremony following the parade.
