EVALUATION METHODS: Applications will be
reviewed to determine basic eligibility.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station
(PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not
in the Government's interest.
Technicians granted compensatory time
off in lieu of overtime from scheduled tour of duty equal to the amount of time
spent in irregular or overtime work.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES (a copy of the complete position
description is available in the Human Resource Office):
Required
to teach with an emphasis on military leadership, management, and decision
making processes. Conducts field and
classroom periods and courses of instruction in accordance with appropriate military
and civilian rules, regulations and other pertinent publications appropriate to
subject matter being taught. Provides effective management for development and implementation of
programs which provide innovative opportunities for delivering such courses and
programs to meet time and availability constraints of officers. Analyzes and evaluates program performance
and progress to timely identify program deficiencies and inconsistencies and to
fully anticipate problem areas. Develops coursework and criteria, formulation of tasks and
projects, and assessing program effectiveness based on a metric level. Attends meetings and
conferences, presenting clear, concise oral presentations that address the
designated issues. Knowledge of mission and functions of ROTC and policy and
directives governing development and implementation of education and training
programs. Liaison of the
Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP) and the Guarantee Reserve Forces Duty
(GRFD) program Acts as the Proponent Officer.
May oversee command supply discipline program, program
budget, and personnel management actions. Must use initiative and resourcefulness in
deviating from traditional methods and patterns to develop new methods,
criteria, or proposed new policies to ensure proper instruction occurs and that
cadets receive a quality educational experience. Contacts are with official(s) of other
agencies conducting activities such as coordinating and scheduling training
schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must have a Bachelors Degree;
however a Masters Degree preferable. Must provide copy of transcripts with resume.
Must have completed and provide copy of
certificate of completion with resume or complete within 24 months of selection
the following courses: OSM - Officer Strength Management Course and ITC –
Instructor Training Course.
GENERAL
EXPERIENCE: Experience which provided
evidence of the ability to instruct students in the use of equipment,
principles, or practices of the subject or occupation. This experience may have been gained as a
teacher or instructor; in on-the-job supervision or instruction of subordinates
or fellow workers; or in work involving application of the principles,
practices, and techniques of occupation or subject-matter field of the position
to be filled.
SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE: Must have 36 months experience in the
following:
KNOWLEDGE of military leadership, management, and decision
making processes.
KNOWLEDGE of understanding social, economic, culture, and
political changes; and national and international impacts and consequences of
decisions and actions.
SKILL in the preparation for instruction, researches reference materials and
prepares sequential scenarios and lesson plans to ensure that subject areas and
procedures are incorporated which require performance in areas where student
deficiencies were found.
KNOWLEDGE of Military Officer Professional Development Courses.
KNOWLEDGE of current web-based collaborative tools such as
e-mail, video-conferencing, knowledge networks, online presentation tools,
expert systems, and Communities of Practice (COP) in a synchronous and
asynchronous mode in instruction.
KNOWLEDGE of current Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel,
Access and PowerPoint.
ABILITY to have professional relationships with senior members
of academia, public and private sector officials for purposes of maintaining
professional currency and contributing to the continuing development of leader
development doctrine and curriculum.
