NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP STATUS: Employment in this position requires
concurrent military assignment to a compatible military position in the New
Jersey National Guard in one of the following military specialty codes:
AFSC: 3S0X1, 3S2X1, 3S3X1
NOTE: THE INDIVIDUAL SELECTED HAS ONE YEAR TO
OBTAIN ADVERTISED AFSC/MOS

OR ARMY PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS RECORD (PQR) ALONG WITH APPLICATION.
LEVEL OF CLEARANCE/INVESTIGATION: Must Be
Able to Obtain Secret Security Clearance.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTORS: To
obtain the required AFSC, acceptance of this position requires a minimum ASVAB
Score of 41 in the Administrative area.
ASVAB scores will not be required to apply for the position, however
applicants must obtain required ASVAB scores prior to acceptance of the
position. The applicant must verify their scores with their Military Personnel
Flight/Military Personnel Office.
PRE-PLACEMENT PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
METHOD OF SELECTION: NJDMAVA TPR 335.A Merit Placement Plan and
the negotiated union contract.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station
(PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not
in the Government's interest.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES (a copy of the complete position
description is available in the Human Resource Office): Provides technical assistance to all reporting
officials. Ensures accuracy
of information input in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting Systems
(DEERS), and the Real Time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS). Authenticates prior and non-prior service
enlistments, and prepares and processes enlistment and appointment
documents. Performs
personnel relocation actions pertaining to voluntary and involuntary acts. Provides input in development of plans for
administration on contingencies and mobilization, maintaining accountability
for all assigned deployed personnel, and Partial Mobilization (PM) management
of activation orders in the event of Presidential Reserve Call Up (PRC), and in coordinating with wing Plans Office to
support all unit deployments and wartime tasking.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Clerical or
administrative experience, education, and/or training which has provided the
candidate with the ability to search for and compile information/data, process
documents, and provide information about regulations, procedures, and programs.
MUST BE ABLE TO TYPE A MINIMUM OF 35 WORDS PER MINUTE.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must
have 12 months experience in processing various personnel forms, records and
reports.
KNOWLEDGE of, and skill in applying a comprehensive
body of military human resources rules, guidelines, and instructions to provide
technical support in the assigned program area to research, study and analyze
all aspects of the assigned military function(s).
ABILITY to analyze information, to determine it’s relevance, and to provide options to management/supervisors/military
members regarding appropriate course of action.
ABILITY to communicate effectively, both verbally
and in writing.
ANALYTICAL SKILL and judgment as well as KNOWLEDGE of the mission of the wing
and other units serviced.
SUBSTITUTION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
One
year above high school may be substituted for 6 months of specialized
experience (must include 6 semesters hours in subjects closely related to
personnel (courses where primary emphasis is on writing skills).
