The MVC provides qualified businesses with quick and direct access to driver history abstracts, ownership history, registration, and title inquiries as permitted under the Driver Privacy Protection Act. Please note, under the Business Partner Management Unit there are two MVC units that handle records purchases: CAIR and Standard Data File Exchange. The Customer Abstract Information Retrieval (CAIR) sells records to companies or government entities that have a proven need for repeated high volume record requests. The Standard Date File Exchange allows certain permitted companies that qualify under the federal and state Driver Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) to request records in bulk.
