DOIT's mission is to assist local officials and developers in bringing “Smart Growth” redevelopment projects to fruition in the State's defined development areas. DOIT is coordinated by the Office of Smart Growth in the Department of Community Affairs with assistance from the following agencies: Department of Transportation; Board of Public Utilities; Economic Development Authority; Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency; Commerce Commission; Department of Environmental Protection; NJ Transit; New Jersey Redevelopment Authority; and the Department of Community Affairs. More information
