(R-Milford, Hunterdon County) Erik C. Peterson is an attorney with a law practice Flemington. He has been a member of the Highlands Council since September 2006, and is a member of the Highlands Council’s Budget and Finance and Natural Resources committees. Mr. Peterson also is a Hunterdon County Freeholder where he serves as a liaison to a number of different boards, including the Prosecutor's Office, Department of Public Safety/Emergency Management, and the Human Services Department; he is an alternate liaison to the Vocational Board of Education (Polytech). He also serves as an adviser to the Division of Corrections and is a member of the Planning Board. Mr. Peterson earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from North Carolina State University, and his Juris Doctorate from Temple University School of Law. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Hunterdon County United Way and is a member of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Hunterdon County Bar Association. Mr. Peterson is a past president of the Milford Lions Club and a former member of the Board of Trustees of the international non-profit Pedals for Progress. He is also a former volunteer swim coach at the Hunterdon County YMCA. Mr. Peterson and his wife Jenni live in Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, and have four children: Sophie, Clay, Veronica and Samantha. |
