Carl Richko is a 50-year resident of the Highlands Region and has long championed preservation of the areas near reservoirs, both as a way to protect water resources as well as conserve open space. He is a former mayor of West Milford Township and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Pequannock River Coalition, a member of the Passaic County Open Space and Farmland Preservation Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Highlands Municipal Property Tax Stabilization Board. Mr. Richko is a graduate of Texas A&M University and a retired educator from the Sparta school system.
