(R-Mendham, Morris County)

Mr. Schrier was a Morris County Freeholder 1999 to 2010 and led the Board as its Director in 2004 and 2005. For five years prior, he was Freeholder Liaison to the Morris County Department of Planning and Development, where he initiated the County’s Historic Preservation grant program. In 2006, he is again Liaison to that Department.  Mr. Schrier has been involved in environmental, conservation, preservation, and water related issues for 15 years. He was Liaison to the Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority and was the first Chairman of the Whippany Watershed Action Committee. Mr. Schrier served as Mayor of Mendham Township and as a member of the planning board there in 1997 and 1998, and served on the town's governing body. He was a member of the Governor’s Highlands Task Force and served on the State Fish and Game Council from 2000 to 2005. Among other activities, he is a Trustee of Morris Tomorrow, former Trustee of the Mendham Township Library, and member of the NJCM "Mayors Emeritus Advisory Committee." He attended Fairleigh Dickinson College. Mr. Schrier and his wife, who live in Mendham Township, have two adult children.
