Roger brings nearly 10 years of experience in location-based technology coupled with urban and regional planning to the New Jersey Highlands Council. In 1995, he began his career in upstate New York with the Delaware County Planning Department as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) intern. Within the last 5 years, he served as a Project Associate with the National Center for Neighborhood and Brownfields Redevelopment, at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, Rutgers University. Most recently, he worked for the Somerset County Planning Board as a Senior Planner and GIS Coordinator. Throughout his professional and academic career, he has worked on a broad range of projects focused on integrating environmental and land use planning with location-based technology on local and national scales. He specializes in environmental, land use, and community planning, GIS as a science, a system, and as a tool for participation, and brownfields redevelopment. Roger received a Masters of City and Regional Planning from Pratt Institute, and a B.S. in Environmental Science from the State University College of New York at Oneonta. |
