The New Jersey Health IT Coordinator’s Office is conducting a survey of clinical laboratories to better understand the current capacity among the State's labs to receive and transmit health data in an electronic format. On December 19, 2011, attestation system for New Jersey's Medicaid EHR Incentive Program became operational. Attestation is available on the NJMMIS website located at: http://www.njmmis.com/. Colleen Woods, New Jersey Health IT Coordinator, who is part of the Governor’s Office, will host a webinar titled: “Introduction to Electronic Health Records and Health IT: What it Means to Healthcare Providers and Patients.” Keynote from: David Blumenthal, MD, MPP - Former National Coordinator for Health IT (2009-2011). The DVHIMSS Winter Symposium focused on the rapidly changing health information exchange environment in the Delaware Valley. In the morning session, leaders from the region discussed the progress and challenges for HIE and EHR adoption and the benefits being realized today.
