Horse Racing Squad

The Horse Racing Squad is a component of the Applicant Investigation & Compliance Bureau tasked with protecting and maintaining integrity of New Jersey’s 5 billion dollar Standard bred and Thoroughbred horse racing industry. The squad also acts as an investigative arm of the New Jersey Racing Commission, a regulatory body with no “police powers”, and also works in conjunction with other law-enforcement entities, specifically the United States Trotting Association (USTA) and Thoroughbred Racing Protective Bureau (TRPB). Furthermore, the squad initiates investigations into findings of prohibited substances in racehorses during post-race testing performed by the NJSP Equine Laboratory.

** The Horse Racing Squad is under the Applicant Investigation & Compliance Bureau Unit Code H500
