MURDER CHARGES FILED IN DEATH OF TROOPER

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE - After review by Acting Cape May County Prosecutor David Meyer it was determined that enough evidence existed to charge Middleton Dunmore with felony murder in the death of Trooper Bertram Zimmerman #5853 on February 5, 2004.

Middleton Dunmore was charged and arraigned before Cape May Superior Court Judge Carmen Alvarez. Bail was originally set at $750,000.00 and raised to $1,000,000.00 as a result of the new charge.

The investigation into the armed robbery of area convenience stores continues, and additional charges are anticipated.
