PUBLIC MINUTES

ROLL CALL

PRESENT Anne Eckert, Nancy Schneider, Hilda Pressman, Anne M. Mazzu, Granville Brady and Gerard Caracciolo.

ABSENT Louis Conte and Kathlyn Conlon-Pignio.

ALSO PRESENT Renee P. Clark, Executive Director Sonia Claudino, Administrative Staff Marianne Greenwald, DAG Hermdon A. Durett, II, Member of the public

CALL TO ORDER The regular bimonthly meeting of the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Advisory Committee was called to order at 124 Halsey Street at 11:00 a.m., all members having been notified of the time, date and place, and materials pertinent hereto having been provided.

SUNSHINE LAW In compliance with Chapter 231 the Public Law of 1975, notice of this meeting was given to the Trenton Times, the Star Ledger, the Courier-Post and the Record.

I APPROVAL OF MINUTES

March 13, 2008

A motion was made by Gerard Caracciolo to accept the minutes as written, seconded by Hilda Pressman. The motion carried by unanimous vote.

II ELECTION OF OFFICERS

A motion was made by Hilda Pressman, seconded by Gerard Caracciolo to nominate Anne Eckert for Committee President. The motion carried by unanimous vote. A motion was made by Hilda Pressman, seconded by Gerard Caracciolo to nominate Nancy Schneider for Committee Secretary. The motion carried by unanimous vote.

III REGULATORY ANALYSIS

Committee approved the re-adoption of regulations in time for December 15 Sunset. The motion carried by unanimous vote.

IV APPLICATION REVIEW (1)

At 11:00a.m. the Committee moved to Executive Session to review one application.

a. Anne Pompeano-Swanson-Speech-Language Pathology License. This matter was moved to Executive Session for deliberation by Committee and advise of counsel.

V CORRESPONDENCE

a. Michael F. Comegys, Cooperative Home Health The Committee reviewed substance of letter dated April 3, 2008 submitted by Mr. Comegys. He states that Ms. Delores Satchwell, Speech Correctionist Therapist, has been providing speech language pathology services for Cooperative Home Health since 2003 without a licensed. After review the Committee determined to bring Ms. Delores Satchwell in for an investigative inquiry on the September 11, 2008 Committee meeting. Motion was made by Anne M. Mazzu, seconded by Hilda Pressman. The motion carried by unanimous vote.

b. Jason A. Green-FYI

III APPLICATION PACKET REVIEW

a. Temporary license application This matter has been tabled for the next Committee meeting.

b. Regular license application This matter has been tabled for the next Committee meeting.

c. Out of state license application This matter has been tabled for the next Committee meeting.

Nancy Schneider made a motion to proceed to Executive Session, seconded by Gerard Caracciolo, to consider and review, applications, consumer complaints and other information received pursuant to the Committee’s investigative authority in order to determine whether violations of law, including Committee regulations, have occurred. The results of these deliberations will be made known when, and if, the Committee determines to initiate disciplinary or other enforcement actions. If the Committee chooses to issue a Uniform Penalty Letter, the action will be taken in Public Session immediately after the Executive Session.
