NEWARK – Investigators with the State Division of Consumer Affairs this month conducted on-site inspections at 11 retailers and found that recalled Fisher Price products have been pulled from store shelves and are no longer being offered for sale, following a voluntary recall announced last week.

All the stores inspected had recall notices posted to inform the public and sales registers are programmed not to scan and not to accept sale of the recalled items.

“We went to stores immediately following the September 30 recall announcement to make certain these Fisher Price products had been removed from shelves,” said Thomas R. Calcagni, Acting Director of the Division of Consumer Affairs. “Our unannounced inspections show that these retailers have taken actions to protect the public.”

More than 10 million items are covered by the recall, including tricycles, activity centers with inflatable balls, high chairs and toy cars. The entire list of recalled items can be seen on the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s web site, www.cpsc.gov .

• Wal-Mart, Piscataway
• Toys-R-Us, Raritan
• K-Mart, North Plainfield
• Toys-R-Us, Watchung
• Big K-Mart, West Long Branch
• Babies R Us/Toys R Us, Eatontown
• BJ’s Wholesale Club, Oakhurst
• Costco, Ocean Township
• Target, Ocean Township
• Wal-Mart, Neptune
