The Department of Law and Public Safety, Division of Criminal Justice, is pleased to announce the winners of the High School Journalism Contest. The winners were selected by county and region (north, central and south). (Read entire listing of winners memo.--PDF file)

The goal of the conference held on November 16, 2001, was to promote school and community safety and violence/gang-free awareness to an audience that would relay this important message to the student body. The Department of Law and Public Safety, Division of Criminal Justice, would like to thank all of the student journalists for participating in the event.

On November 16th, 2001 this web-site was launched in conjunction with the New Jersey High School Journalists Event and Press Conference.
